1. The first thing we must do to make the recipe for potatoes with much faster tomato sauce is to let all the ingredients ready. In this sense, although we have used leek, if you prefer you can replace it with onion or use both ingredients. On the other hand, you can chop the potatoes as you like, trying to make them all more or less the same size for cooking to be a couple.
2. Once we have everything ready, we cook the potatoes in boiling water over medium heat. Depending on the size of the potatoes, this step may take more or less, so that you do not stop watching them to move them from time to time and check with a knife if they are ready or not.
Trick: For potatoes with crushed tomatoes to be tastier, add a bay leaf to cooking water and a stream of olive oil.
3. While the potatoes are cooked, we can take the opportunity to prepare the sauce. To do this, we cook the leek chopped in hot oil.
