Ingredients to make original Russian salad:
1. The original Russian salad is prepared cooking boiled vegetables. However, to accelerate the process, we have chosen to make the microwave. To do this, it is necessary to peel the potatoes and carrots, wrap them on film paper and cook the microwave at maximum power for 8 minutes. In case of boiling, we advise to chop them into similar pieces.
2. While potatoes and carrots are cooked, we cook the peas in boiling water. In parallel, we cook the boiled, steamed or grilled chicken breast, since we want to prepare a low -calorie roller salad.
Trick: If you have frozen peas, add them directly to boiling water.
3. On the other hand, we make the cooked eggs being very careful when adding them to the hot water to prevent them from breaking. The cooking time will depend on the size of the eggs, but it usually oscillates the 8-10 minutes. This ingredient does not appear in the original Russian salad, however, it has been incorporated into the recipe for so many years that, today, we do not contemplate it without it.
Trick: If you do not cooperate the potatoes and carrots to the microwave, you can cook the entire vegetable together, also adding the eggs.
4. Once all the ingredients of the Ready Russian Salad are, the time has come to prepare it. We chop the potatoes and carrots, drain the tuna cans and mix in a bowl or salad bowl. The original recipe was done only with meat, which could be chicken or turkey, but over the years the tuna has become another indispensable product, that is why I could not miss here.
5. We cut the chicken and add it to the salad. We pass the eggs cooked by cold water and, once cold at all, we peel and chop them.
6. We prepare the homemade mayonnaise by beating the olive oil with the egg until emulsifying. We recommend using electric hand blender, especially if mayonnaise has never been prepared before. In case of costing that the oil emulsifies, we recommend adding a little more oil but still beat. We add it to the salad and mix.
