Ingredients to make Christmas salad of sweet beet (or cooked beet):
1. We gather all the ingredients for this Christmas and Orange Christmas salad. If you have bought it raw and do not know how to prepare the cooked beet, we recommend that you put it in a pot with water to boil with the skin and everything, as if it were a dad, for 20 or 25 minutes to make it soft. And once they are tempered, they will take your skin with your hands or with a pelapapas. Then they will let it cool completely and can already cut it into cubes the size you want.
2. In a large bowl or salad bowl we mix the cooked beet along with apple cubes that can be cut with skin or without, and can be as many red as green or a mixture of the two.
3. Add the oranges in cubes. We can also use mandarins, grapefruits or a mixture of all to put in this versatile Christmas and apple Christmas salad.
4. Now we are going to put the cucumber and pineapple in cubes. It is actually more traditional to add guava to this good night salad but I found it appropriate to add a refreshing touch with the cucumber and the tropical pineapple. I prefer to put it with skin the cucumber to add more contrast of Christmas colors with this green and the red beet.

5. Then we add the jicama and the carrots in cubes. The Jicama as they know, is almost all water and will give a lot of texture to our Christmas salad of Beet and Carrot.
6. We perfectly mix the entire Christmas fruit salad to take a precious pink color due to the cooked beet.
7. To make the vinaigrette, in another bowl we mix the vinegar along with the lemon juice, the sugar and the orange zest. The latter will give you a very special citrus touch and sugar along with vinegar and lemon will give you a bitter tasteless touch.
8. Once the sugar is well dissolved, we pour the vinaigrette above the Christmas salad with beet and pineapple and integrate perfectly with the fruits.
9. We can serve this Christmas Beet Christmas salad at room temperature or cold, as preferred. When serving it, we pour a stab of nuts of our preference above to give it a crunchy touch. And if we prefer creamy, we can add a splash of sour cream or Greek yogurt and condensed milk and we will obtain a super creamy and perfect Christmas apple salad to taste it as dessert on these dates.
