Mallorcan vegetable soups recipe

Ingredients to make Mallorcan vegetables:

1. Here we have the ingredients for this traditional Mallorcan recipe. We will wash all the vegetables and chop.





2. In a pot we pour the chopped cabbage, cover it with water until we cover it and boil it for 10 minutes. Then we turn off the fire.





3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan we preferably fry the vegetables with a little extra virgin olive oil. First onion and green pepper, for about five minutes.





4. We add the rest of the vegetables: first of all the tomato, and let it be softened for five more minutes, always stirring occasionally. Then we add the tender garlic and, after five more minutes, the artichokes and the mushrooms, which we leave three minutes. We also add the shredded Mallorcan Butifarrón, as well as salt, black pepper and spicy paprika.





5. We put the pot to the fire, with the cooked cabbage, and add the spinach and sauce. We mix everything and let it cook for five minutes. If we need to add some water, until almost covers the vegetables.





6. In another clay casserole (or in the same in which we have cooked the vegetables) we cover the bottom with bread soups (the dry whole wheat bread, cut to very thin slices).





7. We cover the bread with the vegetables of the pot, fishing for them with a sparkling. Mallorcan soups do not have to be hot, but not too dry either. It is about the dry bread moistening and is soft. And we can serve this typical Mallorcan dish, which will surely love! And for dessert, delicious homemade custard.
