Greek meatball ingredients:
1. We prepare the ingredients for these original meatballs. For minced meat, the best choice is a mixture of beef and pig. As for Greek cheese, we turn to the feta already cut into taquitos.
2. We elaborate the homemade meatballs. We take a piece of meat, we insert inside two or three pieces of feta cheese, and then we form the ball, pressing well so that it is cohesive. Although the original recipe does not say that we should fill in the meatballs with cheese, we have decided to do it to give it a special touch and make them more appealing for the little ones at home.
3. In a pan we fry the meatballs over very low heat. The balls will be considerable size, so we need soft fire and quite cooking time, so that they are also cooking inside. Although it will depend on the size, as a reference we calculate 15 minutes. We will turn the meatballs to make them homogeneously.
4. When the meatballs are already golden, we add the Cherry tomatoes cut in halves, and let it cook about five more minutes, always with the low heat.
5. Now we add the tomato sauce, black olives, and salt, oregano and ground black pepper to taste. With the fire a little higher, we let the Greek meatballs for about five more minutes.
6. Then we pour the feta cheese dice, and with the high heat we let them cook for a few minutes, stirring slightly.
7. Greek meatballs are already ready to serve. Accompany them with a red wine and some bread to leave the dish very clean.
