Entrecot recipe with caramelized onion

Ingredients to make entrecot with caramelized onion:

1. Once we have gathered all the ingredients to prepare the entrecot with caramelized onion, cut the onion into julienne and cook it in a pan along with 3 tablespoons of olive oil.





2. To make caramelized onion it is essential to have time, at least 30 minutes. We put some salt and let the onion over low heat for 5-6 minutes. The salt will cause the onion to release its own juices and be cooked faster.





3. We will let the onion cook for 20 more minutes, stirring well, and add a teaspoon of white sugar so that the process accelerates. You will see that the onion has to be dark. 4. While the caramelized onion is prepared, we are going to prepare some sauteed apples with butter to accompany the Entrecot. To do this, we peel the apple, cut it into slices and saute it in the pan with a spoonful of butter. Let us cook for 3-4 minutes and add a pinch of ground black pepper and 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar. We let another 3 minutes cook and remove from heat.





5. When we already have prepared dressings, we put the grilled entrecot taking into account that the pan must be very hot. Once ready, we put some salt and ground black pepper. The cooking point of the meat depends on your taste. To cook the entrecot to the point you can cook it for 2 minutes on each side.





6. We can serve the entrecot with caramelized onion and sauteed apple, accompanied by a little loose white rice. If you want to include this dish in your Christmas menu you can accompany it with a veal carpaccio and an easy Christmas trunk. Bon Appetite!
