Chickpea recipe with easy and delicious American sauce

The American sauce is used to be used to accompany fish and shellfish, however, it is also perfect to experiment with it in the kitchen. Ingredients to make chickpeas with easy and delicious American sauce:
1 Cooked chickpea boat (400 g)
1 onion
400 grams of tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1 cup of cognac
400 milliliters of fish broth
1 glass of white wine
1 pinch of Sal
1 pinch of pepper
1 jet of extra virgin olive oil

Ingredients to make chickpeas with easy and delicious American sauce:

1. We drain the chickpeas and wash them well under the tap to remove the remains of the liquid that retains them. We let it drain. Although they are already cooked, on many occasions they are a bit hard so we put them in a casserole, we cover them with water, add a splash of wine and put them on the fire until they evaporate the water.

2. We prepare the sauce, so that we peel the onion and cut it in Brunoisse (small squares). We peel the garlic and split them in finite sheets to continue with the chickpea recipe with American sauce.

3. We saute the garlic in a pan with hot olive oil. We frequently stir so that they do not burn and incorporate the onion. We are poached both ingredients.

4. We peel the tomatoes, we split them and add them to the pan along with the fish broth, the wine and the cognac. We remove well and let cook until the juices evaporate and take sauce consistency.

5. When you have reduced almost completely, we add smoked paprika, pepper and rectify salt. We cook the tomato sauce and onion a few more minutes.



Trick: If we want, we can give it a spicy point by adding chili or tabasco, even ground cayenne.

6. Add the chickpeas and a splash of wine, mix well and let cook until the liquid has evaporated.

7. We serve the chickpeas with American sauce accompanied by bread, and enjoy! You can also prepare a salad to accompany, lettuce and orange, for example, or baked potatoes.
