Baked Camembert cheese recipe with puff pastry

If possible, every night I would dinner a Camembert cheese wrapped in puff pastry. If you have tried sure you are right! It is a tremendously delicious bite, it takes nothing to have it ready and, once it reaches the table, it lasts a sigh! 1 Camembert cheese (200-250 g)
1 puff pastry
1 teaspoon of butter
4 tablespoons of fig jam

Ingredients to make oven cheese with puff pastry:

1. We extend the puff pastry sheet and place two tablespoons of figs of figs in the center, spreading them slightly with a spoon and giving it the approximate round shape of the size of our cheese. Ideally, use a round mass sheet, since the Camembert wrapped in puff pastry will be much better. Likewise, you can also prepare your own puff pastry following the instructions of this recipe.



Trick: If you don like fig jam you can use any other. The Red jams are very good, forest fruits, blueberries, cherries, raspberry, strawberry … There are a thousand possibilities!

2. We put the cheese on top and put two tablespoons more than jam. Then, we fold the puff pastry closing it on the cheese and press the folds well to prevent them from opening during cooking in the oven, but carefully not to break the dough.

3. We paint the background and edges of a clay casserole with a tablespoon of butter. Done this, we put inside the puff pastry of Camembert and we introduce it in the preheated oven at 180 ºC. We bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, and if we observe that the puff pastry gives a lot, we can cover it with a piece of aluminum foil.



Trick: If you do not have a clay casserole or it is too large, it can also be baked directly on the oven tray on sulphurized paper.

4. When we are ready, we wait about five minutes before eating to avoid burning the cheese, I hope you like it! As you can see, the oven cheese with puff pastry is perfect to serve as an appetizer or, as I said, for dinner time.
