Homemade Twix Bars Recipe

This recipe for chocolate and caramel bars are a vegan version of the famous Twix chocolate, but without any ingredient of animal origin and with less sugar than the originals. Chocolate consists of three layers: the first is a crispy cookie, the second is caramel and the third is a layer of chocolate. For the first layer we will prepare a butter cookie, replacing it with vegetable margarine. For the second layer we will prepare a rich caramel of dates thus decreasing the amount of sugars. And for the third layer we will melt black chocolate with which we are going to cover the homemade Twix bars. Ingredients to make homemade twix bars:
200 grams of wheat flour
70 grams of sugar
100 grams of vegetable margarine
1 teaspoon of vanilla
20 dates
3 tablespoons of water
1 Black chocolate tablet 50 Piciento cocoa
1 jet of soy milk

Ingredients to make homemade twix bars:

1. Prepare the first layer of the homemade Twix bar that consists of a crunchy cookie. In a bowl mixes flour and sugar. Add vanilla and margarine, remove and knead with your hands. Make a ball of dough and stretch it with a roller on a floured surface giving it rectangular shape of the mold size you are going to use.

2. Put the mass of the chocolate bars with caramel on a rectangular tray with low edges and add it leveling with a spoon. Make some holes with a fork and bake the cookie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. Let the cookie cool without unmolding.





3. For the second caramel layer, soak boneless dates in warm water for an hour. Next, crush the dates with 2-3 tablespoons of water until it becomes a homogeneous mixture. It covers the cookie with the dotile candy and lets cool in the fridge.





4. Cut the cookie into bars 1 centimeter and a half.





5. Meanwhile melts chocolate with a jet of soy milk in a water bath.

6. Submerges the caramel bars in the melted chocolate and cover them helping with the spoon.
