Without a doubt, this is one of the best ways to take advantage of the ripe fruit and avoid discarding it, since it still has important properties for the organism that we should not overlook. In the case of figs, for example, being an excellent fiber source are highly recommended to treat constipation. Likewise, being a fruit rich in vitamin C, its benefits for skin and hair are more than insured. On the other hand, to prepare this easy jam we have decided to opt for brown sugar instead of the target for two reasons. The first of these is that it enhances the sweet taste of the fruit, and the second is that it is healthier. Being a non -refined type of sugar, it maintains a higher percentage of nutrients. However, unfortunately finding it in its purest state is really difficult, since many are the brands that sell it and submit it, in the same way, to processes that can alter its nutritional value. 1. To be able to make the jam of figs with brown sugar, the first thing we must do is wash the fruit well, peel it and cut it into rooms. In this sense, you can use the variety of figs that you like the most, since both with the black figs and the blacks are a delicious homemade jam.

2. Then, place the crowded figs in a pot with sufficient capacity, add the brown sugar and lemon juice. We cook the preparation over approximately 40-45 minutes, stirring with a spoon gives wood from time to time. As we have used ripe figs, it is not necessary to let them macerate. However, if you prefer to opt for greener fruit, you must place it the night before in a bowl, add the sugar and let it go throughout the night. 5. We pour the jam into sterilized glass jars, closed perfectly and leave them for a few hours face down, until the preparation is completely cold.
