The Apfelkuchen German apple cake is one of the typical German desserts. It consists of making a German apple cake with a very special accompaniment: Strudel or Streusel, which can be the most traditional with flour and butter or you can make an apple streate, which is also very rich and to which we recommend you add a Pinch of cinnamon to give the definitive touch. Today in recipes we present the simplest and most rapid version of German apple cake. We have not added the cinnamon that likes so much in Germany, but if you like it, do not hesitate to incorporate it to the dessert. If you want an even more express version you can use broken dough as if it were a quiche.

Ingredients to make German apple cake:
1. We start the step by step of this German apple cake recipe by getting ready and presenting the ingredients needed to do it.
2. We first do the Streusel. In a bowl we pour the flour, butter and sugar, and mix them with the hands until we get a paste with consistency similar to wet sand. We reserve it in the refrigerator covered with transparent film while we make the mass of the German apple cake.
3. For the mass of the apple cake we first make a paste with the butter and sugar.
4. Next, we add the rest of the ingredients. We knead the dough of the apple cake so that we are soft. It is best to start in the bowl and then go to work on a cold, smooth and slightly floured surface. We get the dough and divide it into two equal portions.
5. While resting at room temperature, peel the apple and cut it into wads or fine portions. If you want to give you a texture like potato tortilla, cut in dice the apple. We look for a roasted apple dough so we chop it very fine.
6. We spread some butter in the mold to facilitate its posterior demolition and begin to mount the German apple cake: first one of the dough bases. We distribute it well through the bottom of the mold and leave a vero to make it a bowl. On this hole we add half of the apple and cover it with the remaining dough, which we treat the same.
7. Finally we add the rest of the apple and on this, the Streusel we had in the refrigerator. The German apple cake is put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bakes for 45 minutes, controlling the cooking point from half an hour (each oven is a world).
8. We already have the German apple cake ready. We wait a few minutes to cool and unmold easier (if you can, because we have already eaten a part of the Streusel). We present and enjoy.
