1. Start preparing the caramel. To do this, introduce sugar and water into a fry pot or pan and remove with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves. Then, lower the fire halfway and let it boil without stirring to prevent it from crystallizing. You can also see in this video how to do it.
Trick: Preheat the oven at 180 ºC in case of wanting to make your corn flan in this way.
2. Agite the pan to prevent the caramel from burning. Turn off the fire after 5-7 minutes and let it be a bit.
3. Prepare the corn flan mixing all the ingredients in the blender or with an electric blender thus, crush or beat the corn with condensed milk, milk cream, coconut milk, eggs, butter and the salt. Beat at high speed for 2-3 minutes.
Trick: If you can, opt for fresh milk cream, which is marketed in glass bottle.
4. Stop the mixture to remove the possible pieces that have remained and thus obtain a finer and creamy corn flan. Of course, this step is optional and depends totally on whether or not you want to find pieces.
5. Cover the bottom of the mold with the caramel and, on it, pour the flan mixture. We recommend using a metallic mold, ours is 22 cm in diameter.
6. Cover the mold with aluminum foil and make some holes at the top with a knife. Now you have two options: cook the corn flan in the water bath to fire or baked. To do it on the fire, introduce the mold into a larger pot and pour hot water inside up to 1/3 of approximately.
7. If you are going to cook it in the oven, you can leave it in a deep tray and also pour water water to occupy 1/3 of the mold. Enter the baked corn flan and cook for 40-60 minutes, the final time depends on the type of oven. In case of doing it on the fire, you must cook it over low heat for 60 minutes or until you see that you are ready.
Trick: To know if the corn flan is ready, pill it with a knife and see if it comes out clean. If it goes wet it means that he has a few minutes left.
