Ingredients to make chumbeque:
1. In a small pot add a stream of oil along with the achiote and let it cook over low heat until the chiote seeds release a red color. Stock and reserve.
2. In a median pot add the white sugar and the half cup of water, kitchen over low heat approximately 3 minutes.
3. After time, the anise, the cinnamon, the smell nail, the lemon juice, the orange peel and the dye incorporate. Let cook over low heat until you have honey texture. It is important that the orange peel does not have the white part because it can release a bitter taste.
Trick: To know if the honey is ready, place a few drops in a container with water and if a ball is formed without problem, it will be ready.
4. When the honey is ready, you must strain and reserve it.
5. Mix yeast with a little water and a pinch of sugar.
6. In a bowl add flour, anise and sugar. Form a volcano with the mixture and add the yeast in the center, also add water and tablespoons of achiote oil.
7. Mix out and incorporate butter at room temperature little by little.
8. Mix with the hand to form a homogeneous dough and let stand approximately 20 minutes.
9. Once time has been divided the dough into two parts and stretches using a roller. Place the dough on a tray or silpat and make cuts in it. Bake at 175 ºC approximately 12-14 minutes. Chumbeques easy recipe is almost ready!
