Ingredients to make chestnut flan:
1. We gather all the ingredients to prepare our chestnut flan.
2. We scald the chestnuts in boiling water for 3 minutes to peel them more easily.
3. We heat milk, cinnamon, lemon skin, sugar and vanilla essence.
4. Once peeled, add the chestnuts to the milk and let cook until they are tender (about 20 minutes).
5. We remove lemon and cinnamon skin, and beat the milk and chestnut mixture until lumps are not lumpy. Then add the eggs and mix well.
6. We spread with liquid caramel the base of the mold for chestnut flan and add the mixture we have broken. This candy can buy it or do it easily following the liquid caramel recipe.
7. We put the flan in the oven at 165 ºC in the water bath for 45 minutes. If you liked chestnut flan, you can also prepare this delicious vanilla and white chocolate flan and if what you have are many chestnuts, remember that you can always do the classic baked chestnuts. To enjoy!
