Ingredients to make strawberry caipiriña:
1. To make this famous variation of the caipiriña of Brazil we will begin by chopping the lemons. Wash them very well and cut them in rooms, place a lemon and a half in each glass. To make these strawberry caipiriñas we will use a couple of short vessels, the typical vessels of water or whiskey.
2. Add sugar in each glass and gently crush with a mortar until the lemons and sugar completely macerate. You will see that the lemon pieces are very crushed and the juice is mixed with the sugar forming a paste. You can add less or more sugar to taste to make your cocktail.
3. Then wash and cut the strawberries. In this case, after washing them, we remove the green stem and split them in half. If we have small strawberries, it will not be necessary to cut them. Divide the strawberries to place the same amount in each glass. When you have it, it crushes everything but very softly, since we do not want the strawberries to become mash, we simply want to crush them slightly so that they release color and flavor.
4. Fill each of the glass with chopped ice, pressing to place as much ice as possible. Then add all the cachaça in the vessels, use a mixing spoon to beat the content of the vessels, uploading all the fruit to the top. Cachaça is an alcoholic beverage, obtained from the distillation of sugarcane juice, it is typical of Brazil and the main ingredient of the famous Caipiriña cocktail.
5. The strawberry caipiriña serves and decorates each of the vessels with some mint leaves. Like other cocktails such as the Cuban mojito, the caipiriña is ideal for heat days since it is an extremely refreshing drink. As you see it is very easy to do and do not forget that if you do not have Cachaça you can always use white rum. Health!
