300 grams of flour
2 Egg units
100 milliliters of milk
1 tablespoon of butter
8 grams of dry yeast
150 grams of sugar (¾ cup)
200 grams of ham
1 pinch of salt

Ingredients to make Venezuelan cachitos:

1. Before making these Venezuelan loaves, the first step is to enlist all ingredients.





2. In a cup with a little warm water add the yeast with a pinch of sugar, wait a few minutes until it is activated.





3. Apart, in a bowl mix milk, sugar, egg and melted butter, until you get a homogeneous mixture.





4. In a separate bowl, add the flour with the pinch of salt, make a volcano and add the activated yeast and the mixture previously made, start stirring little by little until you get a homogeneous dough, if it is necessary to add more flour. Knead for 15 minutes until you get a soft and elastic dough.





5. In a bowl with flour dispose of the dough and leave it in a warm zone, for 1 hour until double its volume.





6. After this time, on a floured surface stretch the dough in round shape and cut it into triangles as seen in the image.





7. Add finely cut ham and at the edges a little beaten egg, make a roll from the biggest edge to the tip.





8. On a tray with paraffin paper dispose of the cachitos, brush them with beaten egg and bake at 180ºC, for 15 minutes.
