Ingredients to make torrijas in syrup:
1. First, cut the bread bar in slices about 2 cm thick. It is important not to make them very thin to prevent them from breaking when frying the toast.
2. Reserve bread and heat the liter of milk with the cinnamon branches, the lemon and orange peel and 250 grams of sugar. Remove to dissolve the sugar and, just before the milk breaks to boil, remove the saucepan from the fire to infuse. To accelerate the process, you can cover the saucepan a few minutes and remove. Let it be turned.
3. When the milk is warm, tell it to remove the shells and cinnamon, cover the slices of bread with it and let them soak. See them around them to absorb preparation.
4. Once the bread is well soaked, beat the eggs and spend all the slices for them to prepare the torrijas in syrup. Apart, heat a pan with frying oil.
5. Fry the toast on both sides and reserve them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Mix a little sugar with cinnamon powder and sprinkle each torrija.
6. Prepare the syrup by heating over medium-250 grams of remaining sugar, a glass of water and, if you want to aromatize it, lemon peel or cinnamon in the branch. Remove to prevent sugar from burning and get a candy.
Trick: If you consider it necessary, add a little more water or lemon juice.
7. Let the syrup be a little turned, take it over the toast and serve. Making torrijas in syrup is very simple and the result is incredible. They can be accompanied with mounted cream.
