Homemade Pasiego is ideal for breakfast or snack and comes from a traditional recipe in Cantabria, which is prepared in the form of elongated muffins: the sobaos pasiegos. Ingredients to make Sobao Pasiego cake:
1. The first step to prepare this sobao sponge cake is to light the oven at 180 ºC. Then in a bowl we put the butter at room temperature and sugar, and beat it with the rods.
2. Once well mixed we will add the eggs one by one and the teaspoon of vanilla essence. We mix.
3. We will sift the flour along with the yeast.
4. We will throw the flour to the previous mixture and beat until everything is well mixed.
5. Once is the mass of the homemade home sponge cake, we prepare a mold, we spread it with butter and line it with baking paper so that the content is easily unmark.
6. We pour the mass of the sponge of Sobao Pasiego in the mold and introduce it to the oven at 180 ºC about 30 minutes, and when that time we will have passed in the center with a stick. If it goes dry it will be ready.
7. When the homemade cake is ready, we take it out of the oven and let it cool, then we unmold it.
