Ingredients to make homemade torrijas:
1. Preparing Torrijas is very easy. The first thing you have to do is mix the milk with the sugar, the lemon zest and the cinnamon. Heat everything together until the ingredients integrate. The result will be a flavored and slightly sweet milk. Let cool to room temperature.
2. When the milk is already cold, soak the slices of bread in it. Soak bread and accept the amount of milk, in the recipe we have placed 20 pieces but they can be more or less. It drains.
3. Next, pass the slices of wet bread by beaten egg and fry in a pan with abundant hot oil. It is important that the oil is hot so that the toast is brown and do not burn.
