Ingredients to make homemade oil cake:
1. The first step to prepare the famous oil cake is to work the dough. To do this, use a wide bowl and mix water with yeast, salt and oil. Mix well and then add the flour little by little. Remember that water must be tempered to activate the yeast.
2. Knead well until you get a homogeneous mass. Leave this preparation in the same bowl and leave half an hour at room temperature. You must cover the bowl with a cloth.
3. After the rest time, extend the dough on a tray, previously floured. You can help you with a roller to give it the desired shape.
4. Make some holes by clicking the dough with a fork and kitchen the oil cake in the preheated oven at 230ºC for about 25 minutes. After this time, let stand a few minutes and enjoy.
5. The homemade oil cake can be filled with both sweet and salty before baking. You can use nuts, confitted fruits or if you prefer a salty filling you can include any type of fish, sausages or vegetables.
