Ingredients to cake inside an egg:
1. The first step to make this original recipe is to gather the ingredients. Then, prepare a homemade milk serum mixing hot milk, but without boiling, with lemon juice. Reserve it.
2. Then beat the sugar with the butter until you get a paste. Done this, comes the most complicated part of the cake recipe. To incorporate the egg into the dough without breaking the shell you must make two small holes, one at each end, place the egg on the container with the mixture of sugar and butter, blow by one of the holes and let the egg come out through the other. If you want to make sure that no piece of shell on the dough falls, place a strainer under the egg, as shown in the photograph. Mix the egg with the butter and sugar and reserve the peel.
Trick: Repeat this step with all eggs in order to obtain more shells. Use the content of eggs to prepare other recipes.
3. Little by little and alternating both ingredients, add flour and milk to obtain a homogeneous cream. Finally, add the baking powder and sodium bicarbonate and, now, to give more flavor to the cake, you can incorporate some vanilla essence to your liking.
4. Rinse the egg shells, pour a little oil inside and gy them to distribute it everywhere and prevent the cake from staying at the time of baking. Then, place them vertically inside molds for muffins or cupcakes, on a base of aluminum foil to keep straight at all times.
Trick: If you have time, rinse the shells in advance and allow the interior to dry.
5. The next step of this egg-shaped cake is to put the dough in a pastry bag and fill the eggs until reaching 2/3 parts of its total capacity, otherwise the dough will come out through the holes during cooking.
Trick: Preheat the oven at 180ºC.
6. Bake the biscuits inside the eggs for 15 minutes, or until when introducing a stick through one of the holes it comes out completely clean. Then, let the cakes cool before removing the shells.
7. Finally, remove the shells to obtain the egg-shaped biscuits and decore them to taste. You can place edible pearls as I have done, colored chips or even cover them with molten chocolate and reserve them in the refrigerator. Let your imagination fly and tell us what you think about the recipe!
