Ingredients to make Mallorcan empanadas:

1. Prepare a container where you can work the dough. Add the flour, the softened butter, the water, the oil and a salt pin. Knead inside the container for 10 minutes until the dough is smoothed and you can work it without sticking in your hands.

2. Once the mass of the chicken mallorquinas is already made, it forms a ball and covers with a clean kitchen cloth, leads to a place exempt from currents and cold. Turn on the oven to 200 ºC with both resistances.

3. Trocea the breast to cubes not too large, and the strip bacon if it is not yet cut.

4. The peas, the bacon, the breast and the spoonful of leftover pour into a container. Salpiment and finally add a stream of oil. Remove smoothly to avoid crushing peas.

5. Take out the mass of the Mallorcan empanadas to work it a bit and form an elongated mass. Cut into four units to form four empanadas of a good size. For each piece you will form the base of the empanada, forming as a small jeweler and, from that piece, you will also take a smaller piece that will serve as a lid.

6. Make a ball and crush with your hands. If you notice that you adhere to your hands, join them a little with oil. Give it round and fill with a spoonful of the mixed filling. Raise the edges up and deposit the smallest piece of dough. Join the edges of both pieces so that it is fully closed and give a shape in Zigzag or braided.

7. Prepare the oven tray and extend a sulphurized paper on it. Place your Mallorcan empanadas of peas and chicken, make hollows on the surface with a fork and baked at medium height. Bake for 50 minutes, monitoring the temperature of your oven in case you need to drop from 200 ºC.

8. The chicken Mallorcan empanadas are already ready. You can enjoy them hot or cold, as well as keep them for three or four days in the refrigerator without problem. They will be so rich that you will barely have time to save them!
